I think a good summary of my life is that as I currently write this, 'Criminal Minds' is playing on Netflix. Before that, I was watching 'Friends'. Hopefully that will tell you enough about my personality that I don't need to dive much deeper.
Breaking Iron is all about breaking out of my shell. Breaking the Irons that keep me too embarrassed to give my writing a real chance. it also sounds kind of cool and 'sci-fi-ee' so that fit well.
This blog is a bit of an experiment. I really just want to publish my writing anyway that I can. Theoretically I will be publishing a chapter a week from three different stories, so if you like one story line you will get more from it every three weeks. This idea first came while studying Film Adaptation at Southern Utah University where we discussed that originally novels were published chapter by chapter, and once they were finished, the stories were compiled and sold as a book. I don't know if that is exactly what will be happening here, but it very well could be.
What I do publish is all fairly rough, meaning I reserve the right to change what I have published if there seems to be a good enough reason. On occasion I may decide to write more about ideas, recommendations, or giving reviews. In a perfect world I would like to publish something like that and publish actual story material in the same week, but again, no promises.
I would love feedback. Please feel free to give constructive criticism, or constructive compliments as desired. I also enjoy reading your writing, so don't be shy recommending things for me to look at. Lastly, and maybe most importantly, share my work! This whole thing doesn't work unless people decide that my work is worth sharing, so please do just that.
As many of you writers may understand, there is something very personal about sharing writing. As an art from it feels like I am allowing people to look at my soul and decide if I am interesting as a person. I enjoy coming up with worlds and stories, and I am confident that people will enjoy reading my stories. So enjoy my soul, as absolutely nerdy as it is.
